/Film reports that Underworld director Len Wiseman will be heading up the remake of Paul Verhoeven’s Total Recall. This is, in my opinion, terrible, terrible news. I love Total Recall. And I hate Wiseman. And oh man, Kate Beckinsale. Gross.

The writer of Bond films Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die,  and The Man With the Golden Gun (as well as script doctor on The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker) Tom Mankiewicz has passed away at the age of 68. Mankiewicz suffered from cancer, eventually losing his battle. An experienced writer and script doctor (having also contributed to Gremlins, Batman, Superman and WarGames), he will be sorely missed.
