News: Mad Max 4 shoot delayed, will be in 3D

Inside Film reports that director George Miller will shoot  the fourth Mad Max film – titled Mad Max: Fury Road – in 3D, using technology he is developing himself. Miller is no stranger to the process, having utilised it in Happy Feet 2 (currently in post-production). In slightly more exciting news, WETA has announced that it will be handling costumes, make-up and concept design. WETA were responsible for the visual effects in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and are run by Richard Taylor and Tania Rodger and funded by Peter Jackson.

Meanwhile, The Australian has reported that the Mad Max 4 shoot has been delayed until early 2011, citing rumours of the newly-devised simultaneous production of Mad Max: Fury Road and Mad Max: Furiosa and the potential delay this development would cause. This has left many production staff in various areas out of work for the duration of this year.
